Mining Update (0.11.1)
Greetings captains!
9 months in, the update is ready!
Try it in the playtest or demo!
Gameplay has been greatly changed putting more emphasys on mining, ship building and progression all togheter.
New asteroids
Each one holding hundreds of ore veins, enough to renovate your entire fleet.
Hide inside their craters but check for worms first!
New progression system
Getting drone cruisers and titanium in the starting sector but spending exactly 0 seconds in intermediary sectors until the center?
No more!, each sector has it's own ores and wave composition.
Now you will get to experience going through each upgrade tier rather than skipping half and never getting the last 2.
Other things like loot and player weapons have been chained for a progression oriented gameplay.
New cockpit
Annoyed to have to go to 4 consoles in the middle of combat?
The new cockpit has all the controls available for your starship at your fingers.
300 buttons, countless texts and indicators comparable in complexity to real planes.
Breach based hull integrity
No more ship HP!, now damage consists of repairable breaches The Expanse style.
New battleship drone
If you though cruisers are hard then prepare for hell.
Featuring colossal weapons and more loot than several planet bases combined they are the ultimate boss.
Improved docking
Steal ships by docking and boosting, brand new docking UI that's way easier to use and the ability to take docked ships to other sectors via mfm.
Catching up to a ship that's drifting at 10km/s, docking then bringing it to a station is a lot more fun that I expected.
Boss waves
Normal waves to easy for you? Here's the +50% difficulty increase for last wave that nobody asked for and nobody wants.
New space survival scenarios
Start with a wrecked ship and no stations around. A true space survival experience.
Say goodbye to the campaign since nobody knew(no even me) what it was supposed to be.
PVP mode
You want it, I want it so let's get down to business and hunt each other down.
Still experimental, especially with Unity's limits on physics.
Easier inter-deck building
Annoyed that you can repair or dismantle blocks only in the same deck? no more!
You might need to place down flooring for decks for pre-existing ship designs.
Improved automatons
2 new upgrade tiers for the old automaton with the ability to fix breaches and refill bottles on top of moving faster and having more hp.
They can coordinate to not take the same task and to go for the closest block.
Battle bridge
When the top saucer section bridge(I mean.... the navigation bridge) is too exposed for combat where do you go?
The new battle bridge offers 1m thick steel armor and is pressurized so you can breath fresh air when the ship hull is breached out of existence.
New artifacts
Can't decide what do do with the 4 gargoholds of extra alien artifacts? No more!
Introducing 4 new relics that have specific uses and are needed to get end game gear including the top level automatons!
Spacial fold relic, Star cradle relic, Soul trap relic, Reverberating core relic, each representing destruction, heat, automation and ftl. You can even grow them out of each other!
Teleporter mod
Beam me up Scoty!
Teleport at the door of the wreck directly!, no more jetpacking. One click to pay a visit to traders at the station.
To keep Adro realistic the teleporter is packaged as a mod.
It even comes with a beam-back remote!

Countless bugfixes & changes
I said countless? I mean I counted them, each one, 148 in total.
Countless QoL features
These I really didn't count but there must be at least 30, including delta v calculations, more detailed ship ui indicators, faster start up time, sorted ship inventory, simplified recipes, +100% and +50% tool speed buffs on high morale, faster shields recharge time and many many more.
Instructions block
With 15 visual guides on key aspects of Adro. Each ship comes equipped with one. No more 'Ma ship no workin, beholder, what do?'.
Few more blocks
Like the fluid dispenser or text signs plus built in mods to get access to more previously uncraftable blocks.
Day 0 android port
So you can play right now with your weird cousin that somehow doesn't have a pc in 2025.
Run by default
Pinky finger hurts from holding shift non stop? Now you will never have to touch it again(shift, not the finger) and once you get used to it, you will never walk again #alwaysrunning. Running in Adro is not a viable substitute for running in real life.
Bloom & Ambient occlusion
I don't care about graphics. 'Messes with bloom.' I didn't care about graphics.
Updated tutorial
With indicators for buttons, simpler steps and no more softlocks.
