Do the tutorial, one of the steps is using a tool to expand the hull into any direction, just look at the hull(from inside)(hull, not internal wall) and press M0 while holding any tool. It consumes 6 patchplates for each 1x2x1 hull chunk so be sure to have enough in your inventory. Right click removes hull.
In 3rd person the ship will rotate to match the rotation of the camera. You need to activate the autopilot functions hold rotation and auto brake otherwise the fbw(fly by wire) will not work properly. Ship only rotates while moving so if it is stationary it won't rotate to prevent collisions while in proximity to other stations/ships/wrecks. It is still a prototype and has some issues when the ship is almost pointing to where the camera is looking (stuck in spiral). Main difference is that in this mode the ship moves itself to match your desired orientation compared with other modes where you move the ship manually.
Well, as long as the top results are the official versions (steam, itch, gamejolt and moddb) I don't think it is an issue. besides, I doubt many people would try to download Adro from a shady site when it is free on steam/itch. The worst 2 things that can happen is get a virus from one of the shady sites or play an outdated version.
for generic Android phones, tested on Android 13, should work on all versions above 5.1 but some other players have issues, unfortunately if Adro doesn't start it is an issue of the game engine.
is there a cheap way i can get more battery charge? i keep losing all my battery power when i get into a dogfight and then I'm stuck and have to make a new save.
You don't need to make a new save, use the hand crank to jump start the ship then build solar panels to fill the batteries, alternatively a reactor + turbine + transformer will charge the batts in no time, alternatively you can dock and buy energy from station very cheap, don't forget to loot the battery cells from wrecks/drones to upgrade and fill your own batteries. Fuel cell bloc can also produce energy out of o2+h2.
What is more concerning is that the actual executable is not made by me and has nothing to do with Adrorium as it is the official Unity player. Adro related code is in the folder Adrorium_Data/Managed/some dlls. Seems like Unity has some answering to do :). Try using some online site that scans executables with many antiviruses to see if it is a norton thing. And if you still have doubts (as you should, online executables should only be run if obtained from official sources) run it in a vm or windows sandbox or under a burnable account.
It’s almost certainly a Norton thing, it LOVES flagging false positives, just figured it might be helpful to know that it’s happening, idk much about development so not sure if it is or not tho

I tried running chmod +x and then ran through the terminal. I got zsh: permission denied.
Then I tried using the open command and got 'LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file'.
Checked Stack Exchange, and it seems like I might be able to run it in native Java/Python/C to avoid the error?

I wish to know how to use flares, I have used the main mouse button, tried to "build" it like with a minecraft torch and nothing is working. Is it meant to be used with another device like ammo?
flares are used to mark a spot (you need to drop them to take effect), if you die one is generated automatically to find your lost backpack. I never used them in actual gameplay.

The tutorial makes you use middle mouse, except I use a touchpad. What do I do?
2 options, 1: triple click(3 fingers at the same time) on touchpad (that usually acts as middle click) or 2:rebind the mouse action 3 from settings

Slight concern: Norton360 (yes i am aware its not exactly good) is blocking this due to it containing "IDP.generic" so yeah just as a note.

few things:
- first try setting the permission to run, chmod +x
- run from terminal, perhaps it gives more info
- see if you have some antivirus or if it was quarantined
- try the windows version but run it with WINE (compatibility layer to run win apps on unix)
- try to run the executable directly from inside the mac 'executable' folder
