I wish to know how to use flares, I have used the main mouse button, tried to "build" it like with a minecraft torch and nothing is working. Is it meant to be used with another device like ammo?
flares are used to mark a spot (you need to drop them to take effect), if you die one is generated automatically to find your lost backpack. I never used them in actual gameplay.

hey i have a problem with flying, i spawned in a ship called manivgum and whenever i try to fly it keeps hard rotating and i don't have any other controls on
Large ships with extensive rcs capabilities rotate very fast, to mitigate look for the rcs button set on the cockpit and select the rotation limit to combat (available:no limit, combat, docking), if you feel the translation(movement) is also to powerful limit it from the same button set.

I aim to have a different experience. In terms of looks, scale, replayabily and content I still lag behind, however in terms of ship management, complexity, procedures and space survival all together Adro is taking the lead. The main difference is that Adro grows exponentially with each update while SC only grows their available ship count.

Hi again. In create server, i still don't see the Unet lan option. It's only the photon option. I don't know if this is a bug or something but I'll wait for your reply, thank you!
Hi, UNET and Steam are only available in the official releases, the safe versions don't include those 2. Photon should be enough for any playthrough anyways since it is more stable than steam.
no i mean in android phones the unet option in create multiplayer doesn't appear. Last time you said you removed the unet and replaced it with steam accidentally and said i should wait till the new mining update to release and the unet thing will be fixed and finally appear in android, thank you for replying!!
There is no UNET in the version for Android and it will never be, it is a deprecated feature, if you understood that I will bring UNET to android I probably explained incorrectly. Photon is good enough for most use cases, even for LAN even if it a bit slower. At some point I will want to implement my own networking library but that is in the distant future.

Unfortunately Photon doesn't support LAN but you can still connect normally (with relay servers). Just start the game normally in multiplayer and the other crewmate can click on the join button on the server list.
They are simple reactors that rely on uranium natural decay like real life nuclear plants do. fission=cracking/breaking. uranium decays into more stable elements releasing heat in the process. In Adro it is a 1x1x1 cube-ish block that makes plasma out of water and uranium (applies heat to water).
Indispensable if you want to go into plasma stage (shields, mfm drives, railguns, plasma cannons,...)
I was just wondering is it possible to turn a wrekage back to a functioning ship cause i modified a wrecked ship by accident and i dont want to lose my progress btw i love the game
Hi, saves from 0.11.0 are compatible in 0.11.1 . Last version that is compatible in 0.11.1 is 0.10.2 which was released in april 2022, however you can change a text field from the save file and import saves from any version (save files are text editable).
You can even export the ship as a separate file and import it in a new save (with creative menu).
That being said there might be some changes here and there like the deck model has been changed in 0.11.1 so you have to place down the actual deck as voxel blocks, you also have to replace some blocks with better alternatives.
Still have to finish the new cockpit (weekly posts on discord), do the android port and prepare the packages. I think I'll get everything ready by mid May.
Amazing game, any clue how to populate custom ships? I managed to build frame for ship (all in creative mode) but I'm having a hard time filling hydrogen tanks and such.
There is a creative command /fillgrids (typed in chat) that fills up all grids(tanks/ammo/energy), more details if you type /help or /heldetailed . Alternatively you can get pouches from creative menu and use them to fill tanks.
Remove the wall(with any tool), extend the hull or build the airlock somewhere else. Be sure to build the airlock on the edge of the ship and at the deck level (not inbetween decks).
i love this game, been playing for around a month, but still cant manage to build landing pads and other stuff, i tried everything, even with the research block, and i cant find it no matter where i search, how i am supossed to build it? (yes, ive been smashing my ships to the ground all this time.)
L. Pads are disabled (recipe removed) since they did nothing useful. To land on planet the only path is to do it slow enough to not take damage, safe landing is anything bellow 10m/s.
The community is very small so most of the time there are no servers. You can join the discord server and ask there if anyone is interested(dedicated channels for finding crewmates).
I had a shower thought today about how to make movement work better(?)
Spaceship movement: move the world, not the ship
Player movement: move the player as normal
I don't know if the same solution will work in multiplayer, but it seems each client could have their own world moving around them and the server would have one world that ships move in, instead of moving the server world.
If there are any movement bugs currently, I haven't experienced them. Maybe you don't need to change anything. Great game!
Right now there is a floating center system to keep the game world close to the player and everything moves relative to that floating center. Unlike other games that do this simplification, in Adro all ships, planets, asteroids and so on actually exist in the world so moving everything around would cause a huge performance leak.
On top of that I create a second physics system workaround that is indirectly parented to the ship so players can walk inside without remaining behind as the game engine doesn't support that.
As for physics bugs don't worry, you can easily find plenty around the rover and when exiting/entering a ship.

Hi, I'm glad you like Adro,
flares are used to mark a spot (you need to drop them to take effect), if you die one is generated automatically to find your lost backpack. I never used them in actual gameplay.

I died to the turrets in the tutorial and couldnt get my stuff back
Activate creative mode(F1) and get youself another weapon+ammo or surround the turrets with walls :).

Do you have a flightstick controller? or did you rebind the keys? if no and no try to reset the keybinds
ALSO i forgot to mention its hard rotating to the left like its not that its fast rotating, its forcing me to rotate left

You can but the auto target might not work properly since it only attacks hostiles. Progress won't be lost.

When I build an Airlock, the wall remains in-between the doors. Any ideas?

i love the game, got some of my friends into it too, we enjoying it a lot. we still learning but how do we dock with other ships and stations?
I'm glad you like it, to dock:
- target the station
- on the target display from cockpit there will be a button:attempt dock, press it
- the cockpit will display a reticle and audio docking signal
- align the 3 rotations first (one at a time), set rcs to 50% or 3% for finer control if you need
- align the position after (all 3 axis) one at a time
- when the reticle turns blue press the attempt dock button

if linux check permissions for executable
il windows check antivirus
try running the game from console/terminal
the window is not showing or game is not starting from menu?
try moving the game to a different partition, perhaps where it is it doesn't have the rights to read/write files

The best game on Android! It looks simple, but I just love so many buttons and the fact that I can control the ship without sitting at the helm
